Ronaldo praises Ancelotti's impact at Real Madrid

The Portugal international has welcomed the changes the Italian boss has introduced since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu, and backs his new signings to be successful.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has praised Carlo Ancelotti for the fresh approach he has brought to the club.

Los Blancos are preparing for the final International Champions Cup match against former coach Jose Mourinho's new team Chelsea in Miami on Aug. 7, who Ronaldo responded to after the Portuguese's stinging comments.

The 28-year-old is welcoming the changes that have been introduced by Madrid's new trainer Ancelotti.

“We're very happy with the coach," Ronaldo told reporters. "We're training well and working to have the best possible start to the season. He's very friendly with the players and that's good for us. He's uncomplicated and a great boss. We want to learn from him.

"The trainer has different strategies and different positions for everyone. It's good for me to try to play in other positions and I'm very comfortable with him.  We'll see where I play during the season. I'm not worried about the position, just the team."

Ronaldo also backed the club's new signings Asier Illarramendi, Isco, Daniel Carvajal and Casemiro to improve the squad in the upcoming season.

"They've been very good and I'm very happy, as are my team-mates and the boss. I'm sure that they're going to help us a lot," he continued. "They're familiar with the Spanish Liga and in the games so far they've demonstrated that they're good for the team.

"I've seen some very positive things and we hope they can make a contribution during the season."
