Llorente: Juventus must not panic

The former Athletic Bilbao man has downplayed the significance of Juve's disappointing preseason results on the back of successive defeats.
Fernando Llorente has insisted that Juventus has no reason to panic following the club's poor preseason form and has urged his team to remain calm.

The Serie A champion had to settle for scoreless draws against AC Milan and Sassuolo at the Trofeo TIM earlier this summer, while the team has been beaten by Everton and the LA Galaxy at the International Champions Cup.

Nevertheless, Llorente remains unperturbed as he feels results are irrelevant at this stage of the season and is pleased with the progress being made behind the scenes.

"This is not the moment where results matter. Conclusions will be drawn at the end of the season," Llorente told reporters. "That's why we must remain calm and optimistic.

"We are working well at the training camp and the hard work can be tiring."

Juventus' 2013-14 campaign kicks off on Aug. 18 with the Supercoppa Italiana against Lazio.
