The mercurial Moroccan, who was left out of the Rs
team on the opening day of the Championship season, says he expects to
link up with Martin Jol once again at Craven Cottage.
The Moroccan playmaker is set to move between West London rivals as the Hoops look to trim their wage-bill by letting high earners such as Taarabt, Loic Remy and Julio Cesar leave the club. Taarabt admitted he was excited at the prospect of teaming up with Martin Jol, the manager who took him to England when in charge of Tottenham.
"I will have my medical. I am glad to find Martin Jol here, who bought me from Lens to Tottenham and who tried to recruit me when he was on the bench for Ajax and Hamburg," the 24-year-old Taarabt told l'Equipe. "I am also very happy to have found a solution to stay in London, where I lived for seven years. Even if I have to move from the the north of the city to near Chelsea."
Taarabt scored five times in 29 appearances for QPR last season as the Rs dropped out of the top flight.
