The former England youth international will help bolster New York's depth at forward and attacking midfielder
The New York Red Bulls announced they have signed
forward Bradley Wright-Phillips, who will be added to the team’s roster
pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.Wright-Phillips, 28, joins the Red Bulls from Charlton Athletic of England's League One. Most recently, he was on loan at fellow League One side Brentford, where he played 15 matches and scored five goals.
“Since Bradley’s potential was first recognized by Manchester City and the England’s Under-20 side, he has proved to be a goal scorer of note, whether playing up front or as a winger. We are delighted to sign him,” Red Bulls sporting director Andy Roxburgh said.
Wright-Phillips is the younger brother of former England and Manchester City midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips, who is currently with Queens Park Rangers
