Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has hit out at Barcelona over their treatment of Neymar and feels the Liga champions are responsible for the tricky attacker's health problems.
The
21-year-old was diagnosed with anaemia earlier this month after
undergoing surgery to have his tonsils removed back in July and Scolari
has slammed the Blaugrana for advising the forward to go under the knife and for the way they have managed Neymar since his arrival from Santos.
"It’s unacceptable that Neymar now has anaemia," Scolari said at a
press conference.
"He
was with Barcelona before the Confederations Cup and he was perfectly
fine. At the moment it’s clear he’s not the same, though, because he
underwent surgery.
"It seems it was that lot [Barcelona], who know everything, who think they are always right.
"It was always obvious Neymar was going to lose weight after the surgery."
Neymar
joined Barca in a €57 million deal from Santos earlier this summer and
has reportedly lost up to seven kilograms since his operation.
